Witloft | Daniëlle Siobhán Mol
‘A lifetime philosopher and optimist, a wanderer with a camera around her neck’.
My name is Daniëlle Siobhán Mol. I am a young independent storyteller on both sides of the camera. Born and raised in The Netherlands and Ireland, currently based in London.
Since the age of 16 I’ve worked in Amsterdam, London and New York City alongside many high fashion photographers who it was an honour and privilege to work for.
When I am not photographing, I am either exploring, writing or playing music.
Nowadays, my modeling career brings me around the world and therefore, I’m able to photograph some of the most beautiful places. I’ve always loved to get out of my comfort zone. Yes, it’s absolutely terrifying. But there’s nothing scarier than being stuck in it.
Witloft: ‘The Fisherman’
All the fisherman has is his boat, the lake and the land he grew up in.
He takes a moment for himself and he is one with nature, catching his fish for supper.
The fewer things he has, the happier he becomes.
For several years now, I have had the privilege to work and travel with Witloft, a Dutch craftsmanship which is well known for their authentic handmade leather aprons.
In this series, we traveled to Dragsön, Sweden. The commute was long and slow, but it was well worth it.
The most beautiful and deserted place, with nothing but the sound of birds, the breeze and the shutter of my camera.
Because of my Irish background, I have always loved the Scandinavian colour palette, mystical weather, and tranquility. I was completely in my element...
A truly breathtaking experience.
This series was shot with the Canon EOS-1D Mark II and the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM.
