Gaps

a project by Claudia Fuggetti

About Claudia Fuggetti

Claudia Fuggetti was born in Taranto, Italy, in 1993. Initially, she pursued drawing, but at the age of 15 she took up photography.

She began photographing her city, where she later held her first exhibition at Palazzo Galeota.

She graduated in Cultural Heritage from the University of Salento, in Lecce.

In 2017 she moved to Milan, where she won a scholarship and attended the Master in Photography and Visual Design programme at NABA, directed by curator Francesco Zanot.

Currently, she is working on her personal artistic research between image consumption and its relationship with society.

Gaps: A Project

Gaps is an ongoing project about social interactions and technology addiction.
The "gaps" are metaphorically represented by gradients, as doors to another dimension or nowhere.

Photography could be produced anywhere, what counts are the subjects and their decontextualization.

The gesture of photographing becomes a social act, a representation of a humanness that seeks interaction: always, however, through a filter.

Societies have always been shaped more by the nature of the media by which men communicate than by the content of the communication.
