Michael Marczewski is a freelance director and animator based in London. Since leaving world-renowned design studio ManvsMachine, Marczewski has gone on to carve out a name for himself creating films that mix sharp design and satisfying animation with his trademark dark humour.

Watching pimple popping videos on youtube.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
In a house in the middle of a field. Where I can set off a render and then walk to the beach.

When and how did your journey as an artist begin?
as a child drawing my own version of Where’s Wally/Waldo and making stuff from lego.
What is your greatest source of inspiration?
the internet
How would you describe your aesthetic?
bright and cuddly, but also deceiving and violent
Are there any projects you are currently pursuing or would like to pursue?
I have a few big concepts for new short films that I wish to explore next. in the style of Black Mirror.
What general process do you undergo to produce your work?
a lot of stress, but joy too. I love getting lost in the world which you are creating.
